UK parliament committee critical of News Intl, police

LONDON (Reuters) – A cross-party British parliamentary committee on Wednesday criticised News International’s attempts to “deliberately thwart” a 2005-06 phone hacking investigation and said British police committed a “catalogue of failures”.
