Kentucky News: Unemployment Rate Rises Again In Kentucky
FRANKFURT- Government agency information again higher levels of unemployment in the state of Kentucky.
Clerical and education statistics released Monday shows Magoffin County with the highest unemployment rate in Kentucky, 21.4 percent, more than twice as fast as a year earlier.
A spokesman said Kim Brannock Fayette County had an unemployment rate of 7.7 percent, the lowest in the state, but it was more than 5 per cent last year.
The national unemployment rate in September was 10.4 percent, compared to 6.5 percent a year earlier. Nationally, the unemployment rate is 9.5 percent.
