Kentucky News: Prather Resignation Kentucky Secretary Of Transportation
Joe Prather, who as secretary of the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet in December 2007, takes his duties with effect from 30 September.
He wants to return to private life in Hardin County, Gov. Steve Beshear office said in a press release.
Beshear has Bundesstrasse Engineer Mike Hancock Prather replaced on an interim basis, after the release.
“Joe gave me many years ago, he did not intend to participate in the oven for the duration of my term,” Beshear said in the press release. “I agreed, but I decided to include it as long as I could.”
In addition to his tenure as Minister of Transport, Prather spent 19 years in the Kentucky General Assembly and Kentucky Secretary of Administration and Finance under the Council of Ministers of the former government Brereton Jones.
