Kentucky News: Kentucky “The Best States For Animal Abuser” In 2009
Kentucky a better state in the country, the animal was guilty, according to a report published by the Animal Legal Defense Fund (ALDF).
Based on analysis of more than 3,800 pages of legislation, supervision of the fourteen different categories of rules, the report recognizes the States, where strict laws for animals in general and the individual pages of the country’s most in Kentucky this year to animals laws. The annual report ranks all fifty states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and other U.S. territories of integrity and strength on the relevant laws to protect animals. With Kentucky, Hawaii, Idaho, Mississippi, North Dakota, and completed an unpleasant list of five “best states to be artists of animals.
The report shows that Kentucky has condemned the law contains no provisions on the confiscation of abused animals, no restrictions on future ownership of animals for cruelty to animals, not a high cost of caring for animals, abuse, lack of animal control – regulations and requirements for mental health counseling or assessment after sentencing.
Arkansas, a place also in the bottom 10 percent in 2008, a report has jumped to 25 in total in the country this year because of changes in the law of that State.
At the other end of this year, “the five best for the animals” in the list in 2008, shows the same list with California, Illinois, Maine, Michigan and Oregon, is the most strong commitment to the fight against cruelty to animals and Illinois rank as the best of the best.
“This year we have seen in many states and territories, continues to make significant progress with its laws.
