How To Draw Sports Logos: The Gorillas
A quick screen capture video showing you how to draw a very simple sports logo using a few simple techniques. This particular style of logo is a near symmetrical illustration of a gorilla face in an oval bed. The team are ‘The Gorillas’. Fraser Davidson is a professional designer and animator. @27069614 the first two and a half minutes is Illustrator, after that its Adobe After Effects.
Thanks for sharing! That was inspiring. You are so full of win.
@fraserdldavidson k thanks, i love your videos by the way, keep it up
@lizardmen123 Well, thats quite a simpel one. They can take many hour or days. Its just a quick mock up. Only tip for mastering Illustrator is practice I think mate. That and learning the what each of the bloody pathfinder options do. That will save you hours of dicking about.
I always thought it was bad that I used After Effects in a lot of my still design, like logos, I feel much better now.
Bro your work is freakin’ rad! I am telling you teach this as a class, I will find a way to fly form the States and come take it! Thanks for the share. Catch up with you soon.

@CescSoler its a version of United. No, its made by House Industries
I have no idea what half of this was, but my mind is blown.
@P1cwh0r3 Cheers, I think its roughly 10 speed so 35 minutes in total.
Nicely done! What sort of time-frame are we looking at from start to finish?
More than a little impressive, but less than a something, oh hell, this is crack coming out of my screen. I always wondered how you got that sort of scratchy mottled texture background, and I still don’t really know, but at least I got to watch.
hey fraser, what program is this?
@fraserdldavidson So 25 min for a logo? That’s incredibly fast! Or did you already made concepts and stuff? Do you have tips for mastering Illustrator? You’re a big inspiration for me. The best logo designer i know!
