I know what branding is. We used to brand horses at the ranch when I was a kid before I knew what it really was. I certainly agree that freeze branding is better though.

the purpose of branding is to be able to find the horse in a herd of 200 and to make sure, that if the horse runs away he can be ided. u Obviously hav never worked on a farm, although there are other way 2 do it. like freeze branding while the horse is sedated. it’s painless. that guy did diserve it though…standing right behind the horse, how stupid could you get??
