I just love Fats Domino and how typical to learn that he was such a great guy to meet -re mikeb439! He gave us so many great tracks but don’t forget about the other great guy – I am talking about Brook Benton. He too made a fab recording of this one.
There was a disc jockey in Miami called Butterball. When this song first came out he said, “I can’t see Fats walking to the corner let alone to New Orleans”. Good laugh. Brings back many pleasant memories

@mikeb439 lucky
Its rare to see a video with over 100,000 views, but no dislikes. This one truly deserves it.

This song reminds me of mom.
Great Song. Antoine(Fats) Domino is still the greatest.
Im suprised he didnt write a song like “im floatin, im floatin in new orleans!” after being rescued from new orleans after hurricane katrina!
