Hey PitBoys!
you have to try this rub on the PorterHouse!!
it was delicious.
the rub locked in the juices and the natural flavor of the meat, then it has the rubs flavor!
thanks for such a great rub recipe!
I make pretty much the same dry rub, except I dont put sugar in it. I am one of those that can’t have sugar. Once I put everything together, I put it in the BULLET blender. It makes is a FINE powder. and it soaks in faster than the granual form. Keep it up Pit Boys. Ya’ll are doing good… James….
would it taste any different substitute brown sugar for the white
All good rub is the same. Anyone who tries adding anything new ends up looking like a fool. Salt + pepper + sugar + bitter + sour = rub. It’s not that hard.
Mmmmmmm barbecue.
i just tried this rub, and oh my god, it was truley amazing
thank you for making this youtube channel
peyrTawmax ghaan.. chayndaawl nyaw dawng
what does it taste like?
i used the bullet blender too, my grocery store was out of ground cumin, so i bought cumin seed and put everything in the blender, perfect
i donno hard to explain, you would really hav eto try it yourself, but with that 1 little tablespoon of cayenne pepper, and the larger amounts of everything else, you can still taste it
lol the narrator sounds like Don Frye the retired MMA fighter..rofl
your vids are amazing !
much love from australia
”comes in handy when u need a good rub real quick” rofl
I just tried the rub recipe this afternoon. I was impressed. Thanks BBQ Pit Boys!
I would definitely sub brown sugar. really nice flavour
1:07 – 1:13 haha haha
I agree. Can’t do ribs without brown sugar. Some people do cinnamon, but that’s more a scent than a taste after you cook it.
i just heared that and was like lol i bet someone quoted that in a comment!
what is that tune?
i just wrote it down:
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup salt
1 tbs cumin (?)
1 tbs cayenne pepper (bit more if u want)
1 tbs garlic powder
1/2 tbs some sellerie seed
3 tbs paprika
some fresh pepper
enjoy!
I appreciate the post but it seems like there is too much sugar & salt compared to the other ingredients. And why not use brown sugar instead of traditional sugar. The selection of spices is ok with me but the proportion quantity is way off.
I have enjoyed the grill this summer. My family just finished some gud chicken wings hot off the grill. Thanks for your web-site!
I made a rib rub very similar that I got off your site. One or 2 items different.
I initaly made it for some apple smoked ribs, then wound up making a huge batch of it, goes great on chicken and pork, even light on fish.
On nearly any type of beef steak though I just use a little soy sauce and a bit of garlic powder. Never had a complaint.
