Well done. Now onto the next milestone.
Job well done to Discovery and all of her crews over the years! Thank you for all the inspiration you’ve given to the rest of us here on the ground!
Watching that monster sized glider landing is even more fun than the launch.
almost brought tears to my eyes
my love is nasa but i am a little boy
my love is nasa but i am a little boy
did he thank KFC for a perfect meal on their flight?
Welcome home Discovery and Mission Accomplished the National Air and Space Museum is waiting good bye Discovery and we thank you.
americans… always too emotional.
@Mingylish LOL now they have to remove her hardware and send her to D.C for retirement at the National Air and Space Museum
@eagle628 Discovery will be on display at the Smithsonian
Okay even though the shuttle program is ending at least We can be glad that our generation was able to see the lift off of the shuttles and what we accomplished in space but I will never get over the fact that space is truly the last frontier and there is so much to explore and discover in the vast wonders of space.
NASA TV: Why did you disable embedding for this historical video? Most of your other videos are available to everyone. I’m sure there will be more people willing to share this with the world. Any chance you can re-enable embedding?
farewell Discovery, my favorite Shuttle. Can’t NASA jest renew it, add new parts to make it better so it could continue with more missions???
@catgasoline
Changed! Thanks for the heads up.
it makes mo since how obama would rather spend money on killing mankind and paying people that play football millions and billions of dollars instead of giving the space programs more money to explore the universe! the russians are the ones that will now get our space station, not that i have anything against them but the U.S space program built it but we dont have the funds to keep it going which makes no since. we will have to rely on other countries that will begin controlling us because we
dont have the funds to create new space technology and when we have to rely on other countries to be able to get into space and for new technology and because we dont have the the oil resources they will be able to control us and pur country is going down the drain if we dont get it together soon….
No other nation in the World was able to do what Discovery accomplished…
The space shuttle fleet actually has at least another 10 years life in it but lack of funding is making it impossible to continue.
Its sad to see one of the greatest Space Shuttles leave the Space Programme, goodbye and thankyou Discovery we are all proud of you and proud of your achievements.
my love is nasa but i am little boy
goodbye, discovery. hope she makes it to a good home…god knows she deserves it.
The first space shuttle to make it to a well-earned retirement. One down, two to go!
yeah i got a great idear for NASA they can use the old space shuttle Discovery for
movie’s .just fly it to AERA 51 AKA dreamland !
so they can make more fake movie’s in space and save money on there budget !
sweet, i saw it reentering from space. it was pretty cool, it just looked like a star moving fast across the sky
